BELGIUM: WW1 Commemorative Bronze Medal 
for participation in the National Alimentation - 
Relief effort and for helping the cause of the 
respective Belgian National Alimentation 
Committee.
Signed by Godefroy Devreese.
The Committee was founded in order to ease the 
hardship by providing help, food and relief to the 
starving and suffering Belgian citizens under 
German occupation (a large territorial part of 
Belgium had been occupied by the Germans 
during WW1). 
This is the Bronze Class (4th Class) of the 
medal.
