The Order of Leopold  was established in 1832 
(it is the oldest Belgian Order), it remains the 
highest award of the country, issued to reward 
long and distinguished services or notable 
achievement. 
This is an early example of the bilingual type of 
the Order (issued after 1952) for WW2 and the 
Korean War.
