With its diploma, hand signed by Kaiser Wilhelm I, 
in 1891.
This is the 3rd type of the Cross, that was issued 
during the period 1869 – 1916.
The Order was instituted by Kaiser Wilhelm I in 
1861 and was awarded to Officers and high 
ranked state employees for distinguished service.
