Italy: Silver WW1 Commemorative Medal for the
Campaign in Libya.
The medal was awarded to personnel who served
in Libya, during the colonization era, right after the
end of the Italian - Turkish war in 1912.
RARE official example, maker marked by the Italian
Royal Mint (Regia Zecca) with the "Crowned Z" and
signed by Giorgi.
With 2 unofficial service clasps (1917-18, 1918-19).
Note the unusual way of writing the years on the
clasps (1917-18 and 1918-19 instead of just 1917
and 1918).
The years 1917 and 1918 were Great War years
and the numbers 1917, 1918 were reserved for
the WW1 Commemorative medal.
