Women of France (UFF).
Numbered 7154, with clasp “French Red Cross”
on the top of the ribbon.
Marked on the reverse (illegible).
The UFF was established in 1881 by Mrs.
Koechlin-Schwart. Its aim was purely humanita-
rian (aiding the wounded combatants in war time
and providing support to public agencies in time
of national catastrophe or need).
In 1940, the UFF together with the French Society
of Aiding the Wounded and the Association of
French Ladies merged and created
the French Red Cross.
