FRANCE: Merchant Navy medal. 
Silver medal, attributed to PAY P.E. and dated 
1910. In its original box of issue.
This is the 1st version of the medal (there
are 3 versions and this is the rarest one).
Signed by Ch. Marey, hallmarked for silver 
(ARGENT) and maker marked by the Paris 
Mint on the rim.
The medal was instituted in 1901 and was 
awarded for 25 years of service.
