IMPERIAL GERMANY - Duchy of Anhalt:
Friedrich's Cross (Military Merit Cross).
The Cross was instituted in a single class in
1914. Despite the fact that Duke Friedrich
had expressed the intention to amend the
award to a 1st and a 2nd Class Cross - the
1st Class was never actually adopted.
The medal was abolished in 1918.
A rare medal as the population of the Duchy
was around 300.000 inhabitants.
