Imperial Germany - Prussia: Group photo of a Coy of the German Army.
According to their shoulder insignia and the handwritten description
on the reverse of the photo, they are Officers and soldiers of the
Machine Gun Company of the 31st Infantry Regiment "Graf Bose"
(1st of Thuringia).
The sign (upper corner) writes: "To the Mothers" while the sign next
to the barrel writes: "We served faithfully the Fatherland for 2 years,
on the Elbe Beach".
The IR 31 was stationed in Hamburg - Altona. Probably the photo
was taken the day the company was discharged.
