South Africa: WW2 Africa Service Medal.
Attributed to N 39435 H. KAMANGA.
The Africa Service Medal was instituted in 
1943 by King George VI and was awarded 
to members of the Union Defense Forces, 
the South African Police & the South African 
Railways Police. The medal was originally 
intended to be awarded for service in Africa, 
but it was later extended to cover service 
anywhere in the world during WW2. Fewer 
than 200.000 medals were awarded in total.
A rare set of the South African 1st Infantry 
Division.
