Czechoslovakia: WW2 Cross of the Liberated 
Political Prisoners, 1939 - 1945, together with the 
respective ribbon bar.  
This is the 2nd type of the Cross, issued since 
1960.
The medal was instituted in 1947 by the S.O.P.V. 
(Union of Liberated Political Prisoners). 
The Union played a crucial role in bringing before 
the justice those who had committed atrocities 
during WW2.
On the obverse: The Bohemian Lion rampant on 
the central medallion. 
On the reverse: The initials of the new name of 
the Union: Union of Anti-Fascist Combatants-
S.B.P. 
Dated 1939-1945.
The Cross is rare.
