USA: WW2 Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal.
The award was instituted by President Franklin
D. Roosevelt in 1942, initially as a service ribbon.
A full medal was authorized in 1947, and the 1st
recipient was General Douglas MacArthur.
The medal was awarded for at least 30 days of
service between 7 Dec. 1941 and 02 Mar. 1946 in
the Asian-Pacific theater.
Designed by Thomas H. Jones (obverse) and
Adolph A. Weinman (reverse).
