Czechoslovakia: WW2 Cross of the Liberated 
Political Prisoners, 1939 - 1945.  
This is the 1st type of the Cross.
The medal was instituted in 1947 by the S.O.P.V. 
(Union of Liberated Political Prisoners). 
The Union played a crucial role in bringing before 
the justice those who had committed atrocities 
during WW2.
On the obverse: The Bohemian Lion rampant on 
the central medallion. 
On the reverse: The initials of the Union S.O.P.V. 
- dated 1939-1945.
The Cross is rare.
