This is the rare Type "C" of the medal (Alessandro 
Brambilla's Classification) that was instituted in 
1943, to be awarded for military valor. 
In this type the inscription writes "Valore di 
Guerra" (War Valor) instead of "Al Valore Militare"
(For Military Valor).
