The Order was instituted in 1849, in 4 Classes 
and was awarded for exceptional services to 
the Austro - Hungarian Empire.  
This is the 3rd class of the Order on war time 
ribbon.
Marked on the ring: WILH. KUNZ, WIEN X.
(Wilhelm Kunz, Vienna) and hallmarked for 
silver quality (Diana's Head).
