Belgium: Officer's Cross in the Civil Division 
of the Order of Leopold I. 
In its luxurious box of issue with the Royal 
Cypher on the lid, by DeGreef in Brussels. 
Note the "O" (for Officer) at the lower corner 
of the box.
The Order of Leopold  was established in 1832 
(it is the oldest Belgian Order), it remains the 
highest award of the country, issued to reward 
long and distinguished services or notable 
achievement. 
This is the bilingual example of the Order 
(issued after 1952).
