Antwerp - King Leopold, 1880. 
A a rare life saving award.
On the obverse: The inscription "Redden of 
Sterven" (Rescue or Die) and the portrait of King 
Leopold I.
The Rescuers of Antwerp Organization was 
founded in 1880 as a Royal Charitable Institution, 
with main purpose the reward of those who 
spontaneously and selflessly put their own lives 
at risk in order to save a human life in danger.
This is the rarest type (1st type) of the Cross.
