Belgium: WW2 lapel pin - button hole badge for
the Brigade Piron of the Free Belgian forces in
Great Britain.
Following the fall of Belgium and France the
members of the Belgian Army that managed
to cross the British Channel formed the 1st
Belgian Brigade under the Command of
Brigadier General Piron.
The Brigade fought in Normandy and Holland
following the Allied invasion and became the
core for the reorganization of the Belgian
Army after the end of WW2.
Given the fact that less than 5000 Belgians
joined the 1st Brigade in total, this is a very
scarce badge.
