of the Order of Leopold I. 
With its diploma of issue to a soldier. The 
award was issued in 1950 and this diploma, 
dated 1959, comes as a 2nd promotion that 
adds the Swords to the Knight's Cross,
thus moving it to the Military Division.
The Order of Leopold  was established in 1832 
(it is the oldest Belgian Order), it remains the 
highest award of the country, issued to reward 
long and distinguished services or notable 
achievement. 
This is the bilingual example of the Order 
(issued after 1952).
