BELGIUM: Medals set of a Belgian Senator 
and former member of the Belgian Armed 
Resistance during WW2. 
The set is consisted of:
- Resistance Medal for the Agents of the Radio 
Broadcasting Service (Operators of secret 
radio stations in occupied Belgium). 
EXTREMELY RARE medal. Full size.

- Silver Commemorative table medal of the 
Belgian Senate to the Senator for his service 
(1958 to 1981). 
The medal is NAMED, hallmarked A950 (silver 
950) on  the rim, by maker Fisch Fonson, 
Brussels. 
Weight: 89 grams, diameter: 6 cm. 

- Identification card for WW2 Combatants, 
with the photo of the Senator and 2 entries 
that mention his service as Agent of the 
Radio Broadcasting Service in 1944 (hence 
the award of the respective medal later on) and 
the award of the WW2 Commemorative medal 
with lightnings citation (for service with the 
Intelligence Service). 

- His paybook in English as a member of the 
Belgian Armed Forces.

The Senator: 
- Was born born in 1921 
- 1958-1971: Member of the House of Represen-
tatives for the district of Antwerp 
- 1966-1971: Secretary of the House of Represe-
ntatives 
- 1965-1974 : Delegate at the Interparliamentary 
Consultative Council of Benelux 
- 1966 : Delegate at the General Assembly of 
UNO 
- 1971-1981: Senator for the district of Antwerp 
- 1973-1974: President of the Interparliamentary 
Consultative Council of Benelux 
- 1973-1981: Vice-President of the Senate 
- 1992-1996: President of Pro Lege 
- since 1996: Honorary President of Pro Lege 
- 1998-1999: President of the European Asso-
ciation of former members of parliament 
of the member states of the Council of Europe 
or of the European Union 
- Since 2000: Honorary President of the Euro-
pean Association of former members of parlia-
ment of the member states of the Council of 
Europe or of the European Union
 - Died in 2013
