GREAT BRITAIN: WW2 The Sherwood Foresters 
Regiment Cap Badge (Notts and Derby).
The Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and 
Derbyshire Regiment) was formed in 1881. 
During WW1, the Regiment served mainly on the 
Western Front, but also in Gallipoli, Italy, the 
Middle East and fought during the 1916 Easter 
Rising in Ireland in the Battle of Mount Street 
Bridge in Dublin.
During WW2 the Sherwood Foresters served in 
the Norwegian Campaign, the Battle of France, 
the North African and the Italian campaigns 
while they also saw action in the Far East.
