Unnamed, as issued to foreign recipients. 
The Military Medal (MM) was established in 1916 
by King George V, for bravery in battle on land 
and specifically for "acts of gallantry & devotion 
to duty under fire". It was awarded to personnel 
of the British Army (NCOs and other ranks) and 
also to personnel of the British Commonwealth 
and Allied Countries. 
The MM was equivalent to the Military Cross for 
the non commissioned ranks and second to the 
Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM).
This medal was awarded to a French recipient 
(2400 medals were awarded to French troops 
during WW1). 
The medal is unnamed as issued (all medals 
awarded to foreign NCOs and soldiers were 
issued unnamed). 
The unnamed examples of the medal are scarce.
