Medal awarded for participation in the Great War. 
With its diploma of issue to a German Officer 
(Lieutenant), dated 1943 and numbered (146235).
The medal was established in 1933 and it was 
awarded to all living participants (military or 
civilians) of the Great War. 
The medal was also awarded to Austrian and 
German soldiers who fought alongside the 
Bulgarians on the Macedonian front.
