Djibouti WWI Order Nichan el Anouar (Order of the Light) Knight's Star

Djibouti - French Protectorate: Order of Nichan 
el Anouar (Arabic: Order of the Light), Knight's 
Star. 
The Order was established in 1887, in 5 classes, 
by Hamed ben Mohamed, Sultan of Tadjourah, 
in commemoration of placing the Sultanate 
under the "French Protection". 
It was issued  to reward meritorious services to 
the Sultanate and France. 
It became a French Colonial Order of the French 
Somaliland in 1896 and it was discontinued by 
France in 1963, being replaced by the National 
Order of Merit.
This is a nice example of the WW1 era.
