Maker marked Artes & Insignes, Paris - H.803.
French military forces were stationed in Germany
since the end of WW2.
Initially named as "French Occupation Troops in

The headquarters of the Unit was in Baden-Baden.
In 1989 France and Germany formed the Franco-
German Brigade and in 1993, following the end
of the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet
Union, the designation of these forces changed
to "French Forces stationed in Germany" (FFSA)
and most of the troops were withdrawn to France.
