that denotes 1 combat wound.

The medal was instituted in 1953 and was 
awarded for minimum 3 months of military 
service with the French Expeditionary Forces in 
Indochina, from 1945 to 1954.
The most notable event of the Indochina War -
Campaign was the Battle of Dien Bien Phu, that 
sealed the French Colonial present in Indochina.
Hallmarked bronze, maker marked by the Paris 
Mint, signed "L.M" and "J.C.".
