FRANCE: Trench art paper weight - inkwell in the form
of the WW1 French Hotchkiss M1914 Machine Gun
placed on its tripod.
There is visible a dedication sign on it that relates the
item to the 4th Regiment of Hussars (the Unit fought
during WW1 at the area of Verdun under the command
of the 4th Light Cavalry Brigade).
Probably a gift to an officer. Such gifts were typical
and representative of the interwar period.
The diorama is signed by its designer (Ouveb) .
