of the War Effort, "Day of Paris, 14 July 1916". 
The medal was circulated during the Paris War 
Support Day on Jul. 14, 1916 .
Obverse: The “Departure of the Volunteers of 
1792” by François Rude. The sculptural group 
is also known as “La Marseillaise” and adorns 
the Arc de Triomphe (Arch of Triumph) on the 
Champs-Elysées in Paris.
Also inscribed: "Journee de Paris, 14 Juillet 
1916" (Paris Fund Raising Day for the War 
Effort, July 14, 1916)
Reverse: The Coat of Arms of Paris.
The medal is signed by A. Bargas.
