of Honor, of the 4th French Republic (1951 - 1961). 
With Officer's bar on the ribbon.
Maker marked by Arthus Bertrand.
In its box of issue.
This type of the Knight's Cross was issued only for 
10 years (for delayed WW2 awards and awards for
the Colonial Wars) so it is quite rare.
The Order was established by Napoleon Bonaparte 
in 1802 and is awarded to both French and foreign 
citizens for outstanding civil or military service to 
France.
The Order of Honor represents the highest national 
decoration of France.
