France: Order of Maritime Merit, Knight’s Star.
The Order was created in 1930 and was 
modified to this form in 1948. 
It is issued for professional Naval merit (the 
Merchant Navy and the administration of 
ports are included as well).
For the award of the Knight’s Star the 
recipients must be at least 30 years old 
with minimum 15 years of maritime service.
