Republic. 
The Order was established by Napoleon 
Bonaparte in 1802 and is awarded to both 
French and foreign citizens for outstanding 
civil or military service to France.
The Order of Honor represents the highest 
national decoration of France.
This is a ribbon bar of the WW2 era, but it is 
also suitable for the respective orders of the 
4th and 5th French Republic as well as for 
those awarded during WW1.
