Firefighter Long Service Decoration for 25 years 
of service. 
In its rare box of issue.
Maker marked on the reverse by Weiss & Co in 
Munich.
The award was instituted by King Ludwig II in 
1884 and as awarded until 1918 to "members of 
the Voluntary Fire Service who had completed 25 
years of loyal and zealous service". 
In 1920 the badge was replaced by the respective 
oval shaped badge of the Free State of Bavaria. 
A nice example of the badge together with its 
scarce box.
