GERMANY-Imperial Navy (Kaiserliche Marine): 
Set of 4 medals mounted on improvised large bar. 
From left to right:
- WW1 Iron Cross, 2nd Class, 1914-1918.
- WW1 "Kyffhauser" (Lighthouse) Veteran 
Association Medal.
- WW1 Commemorative Medal of the German 
Legion of Honor.
- WW1 "Marine Cross" (or "Flanders Cross") 
with clasp FLANDERNSCHLACHT (Battle 
of Flanders) for the respective battle). 
The Flanders Cross was instituted in 1921 as 
an unofficial veterans award. 
Just like the majority of the Veteran awards of 
the Weimar Republic, only the diploma was 
actually issued.
The Cross and the respective clasps had to 
be purchased privately by the recipients. 
Only roughly 30.000 Crosses were authorized.
