Imperial Germany - Hanover - Prussia: Set of
Medals and their respective Diplomas awarded
to a Sergeant of the 9th Dragoon Regiment of
Hanover.
The German NCO started his career with the 9th
Dragoon Regiment in 1894 and fought in WW1
with the 388 and 385 Infantry Regiments.
The set is consisted of the following:
- 1897 Centennial medal of Kaiser Wilhelm, made
from captured cannons, with the respective
diploma (by the 9th Dragoon Regiment).
- Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 (maker marked KO -
Imperial Mint, Berlin).
With the respective diploma, dated 1917, issued
by the 385 infantry Reg.
- Black Wound badge
- Hindenburg Cross 1914-1918, with the respective
diploma dated 1935
- WW1 Commemorative Medal of the Lighthouse
(Kyffhauser) Veteran Association.
- Membership Badge of the Prussian Lighthouse
(Kyffhauser) Veteran Association.
- 3 Miniature WW1 Medals (Iron Cross 2nd Class
1914, Hindenburg Cross, Black Wound Badge)
on pin.
- Ribbon bar for the Iron Cross 2nd Class and the
Hindenburg Cross.
- Soldier's Book (Military Service Record) of the
9th Dragoons and additional added pages for the
other Regiments the NCO fought with.
It comes with both its paper and fabric cases.
- 2 War Record papers for his service with the 388
Infantry Regiment
- A letter of recommendation dated 1909
- A Good Conduct Certificate by the 9th Dragoon
Regiment, dated 1897
- A permit of Leave by the 9th Dragoon Regiment,
dated 1897.
- A photo of the NCO in uniform.

Condition as on the photos: Used items, the
diplomas are folded, stained and have tears, the
medals show their age, the Wilhelm's Centennial
medal has no ribbon
