postcard depicting Lille in occupied France. 
Feldpost psotmarked by the Bavarian Fieldcard 
Depot, dated 1917.
Written on the reverse by a recovering NCO in 
the Goyatz Field Hospital. 
Addressed to a Sergeant of the 5th Replacement 
Machine Gun Company.
The sender informs that he is hospitalized but 
well and asks the Sergeant to pass the message 
to the sender's wife in Nuremberg, Bavaria.
A unique and emotional piece of wartime 
correspondence.
