GREAT BRITAIN: Silver Coronation Medal of 
Queen Elizabeth II, 1953. Unnamed as issued.
The medal was designed by Cecil Thomas and 
was issued on the event of the coronation of 
Queen Elizabeth II (02 June 1953) as personal 
gift of the Sovereign to members and servants 
of the Royal Household, members of the Armed 
Forces, members of Governments and elected 
Officials of the British Empire and Dominions. 
A total of 138214 medals were issued - including 
11561 to Australians and 19000 to Canadians - 
all of them were unnamed.
