GREAT BRITAIN: WW1 Cap Badge of the 
Middlesex Regiment (Duke of Cambridge's 
Own).
The Middlesex Regiment was an infantry 
regiment of the British Army with a history 
dating back to 1881. 
During WW1, the 1, 2 and 4th Battalions (Bns) 
of the Regiment saw action primarily on the 
Western Front (Battle of Mons as part of the 
BEF, battle of the Somme, etc).  
The 3rd Bn fought also on the Macedonian 
Front (Salonika) while the 1/9th Bn took part 
in the Mesopotamian Campaign (1918).
