Great Britain: WW1 Set of 3 Military medals to 
an NCO of the RASC.
All medals are attributed to: S4-086086 CPL. 
F. W. WILLIAMS A.S.C.
(Corporal F. W. Williams, Royal Army Service 
Corps). 
The medals are as follows:
- Victory Interallied Commemorative medal - 
official type. 
- WW1 War Commemorative medal
- Army Meritorious Service Medal (MSM).
The MSM medal was awarded to Sergeants 
and other senior NCOs of irreproachable 
character with at least 20 years of service. 
During the period 1916-19 Army NCOs from 
the rank of Corporal (like in this case) could 
be awarded this medal immediately if they 
had performed especially meritorious service 
in extreme circumstances.
