HUNGARY: WW2 Officer's badge for Combat
Leadership.
The badge was established in 1920 and
remained in use until 1944 - practically it was
only awarded during WW2.
The award of the badges to the qualifying
officers took place on Sep. 01 each year.
To qualify for the award, the recipient had to
directly, in person, exercise command of a
Unit with strength below or equal to the size
of a Regiment of Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery,
Armor or Engineers in operational conditions
(in combat).
Rare example of the badge with silvered
reverse.
A hard to find award.
