Annual Army March, Bronze Grade for up to 4 
awards/participations.
The crossed cannons on the ribbons denote 
award for successful completion of the 2x40km 
marches (the highest possible award). 
The numbers "2", "3", "4" on the ribbon denote 
that the recipient has been awarded the medal 4 
times, for equal participations in the march.
The combination of the awards on the ribbon is 
the highest possible for this medal.
The medal is maker marked by Huguenin, in 
Switzerland.
The "Army March" of the Luxembourg Army is 
a 2 days event held annually each May, since 
1967, in the mountainous area around the 
Luxembourg city of Diekirch.
Military and civilians, citizens of Luxembourg 
and foreigners may participate and each 
participant upon successful completion of the 
March is awarded a medal and supplementary 
awards according to his individual performance/
achievements.
The bronze grade of the medal, as of this example, 
is awarded for the 1st participation in the march, 
while for each consequent participation up to the 
4th the respective number is added on the ribbon. 
The medal is rare, given the small size of the 
Luxembourg Army (less than 500 men).
