NAZI GERMANY: WW2 Ostvolk (Eastern 
Peoples) Medal for Bravery with Swords, Silver 
2nd Class, Silver -in silvered zinc.
The medal was instituted in 1942. Eligible for 
the award were former Soviet citizens in areas 
occupied by Germany, former Soviet citizens 
serving in German Units as well as  Germans 
serving in units manned by former Soviet 
personnel.
The decoration was awarded in 2 versions: 
with swords (for bravery in the field) and 
without swords (for merit to non combatants).
