Germany WWII West Wall Medal with Envelope by Carl Poellath

NAZI GERMANY: WW2 West Wall Medal. 
In its envelope of issue by Carl Poellath in 
Schrobenhausen.
The medal was instituted in 1939 and was awarded 
to those who designed and built the Siegfried Line 
Fortifications (Western German Borders), to the 
troops of the fortifications and to those who 
worked to upgrade  and strengthen the Line, prior 
to the D-Day landings in Normandy.
A total of 622.064 medals were awarded.
