On the reverse: DEN VATERLANT GHETROUWE 
("Loyal to the Fatherland").
The Cross was instituted in 1948 and was 
issued to reward militarised and mobilized men 
for services after 9 Apr. 1939 provided that they 
did not qualify for the Commemorative War 
Cross.
The last award was documented in 1951.
