First Type of the medal (1906 - 1936).
The Cross was established in 1906 during the 
celebrations on the occasion of the 40th anniver-
sary of King Carol’s appointment as Prince of 
Romania.
It was awarded for long and faithful service to 
the Kingdom and the Crown of Romania.  
This is the 1st Version of the medal that was 
awarded during WW1 (Reign of King Carol).
