Serbia: Commemorative Medal for the retreat of
the Serbian Army to Albania, in 1915.
Facing practically alone the Austro-Hungarian
and Bulgarian combined attack, the Serbian
Army managed to retreat under the command
of King Peter and Prince Alexander, through
the mountains of Albania to Corfu in Greece.
There, the Serbian Army was reorganized and
continued fighting on the Macedonian front
throughout the end of WW1.
The medal was instituted in 1920 and was
struck by Arthus Betrand, Paris.
The medal is quite rare.
