Sweden: Royal Order of the Sword, Silver medal.
“FÖR KRIGSMANNA FÖRTJENSTER” (for Military 
Merit) 
Marked “Silver” and dated 1929  - issued by King 
Gustav V.
The Order was instituted in 1728, by King Fredrik I 
and was awarded to Officers (and since 1850 also 
to NCOs) for faithful military service. 
The Order became obsolete in 1974.
