Turkey Ottoman Empire Cami i Nushret Medal 1831 for the Battle of Iskodra or Battle of Scutari

OTTOMAN EMPIRE (TURKEY): Silver Commemo-
rative Cami-i Nusret Medal (Iskodra Medal). 
The medal was instituted in 1831 by Sultan 
Mahmud II to be awarded to the Ottoman Forces 
of Grand Vizier Resid Mehmed Pasha who 
participated in the Battle/Siege of Iskodra (Shkoder/
Scutari in Albania) against the rebels of Mustafa 
Pasha Bushatli, Pasha (Governor) of the Sanjaks 
of Scutari, Ohrid and Elbasan.
This is one of the first Ottoman medals and one of 
the rarest ones as well.
