Albania People's Republic Order of Patriotic Achievements Medal 1962

Albania - Communism era: Medal of the Order of Patriotic Achievements. 
The Order was instituted in 1962, in 3 classes and 1 medal (as of this 
example) and was awarded in VERY LIMITED NUMBERS to "those who 
possess patriotic merit and are known for their support and contributions 
to the People in the battle for national independence, liberty and progress". 
This is the initial form (the Order was amended in 1992 to a circular, totally 
different form, with the same ribbon).
A scarce medal.  
Despite being a former communist country,  Albania issued medals and 
decorations of high quality and in very low numbers.
