3rd Class.
This is the 1st type of the medal, with R.P.SH 
(People's Republic of Albania) inscription.
This type was issued during the period 1965-
1982. 
The Order was instituted in 1952 in a single class. 
It was amended in 1965, to 3 classes and 1 medal. 
The order was awarded to members of the armed 
forces and of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 
citizens, organizations, and collectives that 
substantially aided and increased the defensive 
capabilities and the territorial integrity of the 
nation in peace or in war. 
The order could also be awarded to generals, 
officers and warrant officers of the military and 
the Ministry of Internal Affairs for no less than 
ten years long and distinguished service.

maker PräWeMa (Präge Werkzeug Machinen) 
Markneukirchen.
A rare medal.
Despite being a former communist country,  
Albania issued medals and decorations of 
high quality and in very low numbers.
