Reverse: "EUROPAE LIBERTATE ASSERTA"
(Europe’s Liberty Asserted) and dated
"MDCCCXIII-MDCCCXIV" (1813-1814)
Scarce, issued example, officially hallmarked.
The medal was instituted by Kaizer Franz II in
1814 and was awarded in 1815 to the Austrian
soldiers who had participated in the 1813 and
1814 Campaigns of the Napoleonic Wars.
