Bronze medal issued to the members of the Armed 
Forces and the State mechanism, in 1898, on the 
occasion of the 50 years of Kaiser Franz Joseph's 
reign (1848-1898). 
"SIGNUM MEMORIAE" (Latin for Token of 
Remembrance). 
This is the rare example of the medal that was 
awarded to State Employees. 
The characteristic of this medal, beyond the 
ribbon, is the different inscription compared to 
the Medal for the Armed Forces.
